Our Maraging BF (Blaise Frères) electric foil blade, forged in France, is undoubtedly the best blade in the world. It meets the requirements of the International Fencing Federation (FIE).
Maraging steels are renowned for their high strength and hardness, whilst retaining impeccable ductility. They have a higher yield strength, allowing them to flex more than standard blades. The blades can therefore, in theory, bend more than others before the metal undergoes irreversible deformation and before they break. But yes, a Maraging blade can break. Whilst Maraging steel is designed to be hard and strong, it is not indestructible; breakage usually results from bending in the opposite direction to the curve or from an incorrectly performed blade straightening procedure.

Our Maraging BF (Blaise Frères) electric foil blade can be fitted, at the customer’s choice, with either a French or a German tip.
The grips, manufactured in our workshops (with the exception of foreign models), offer exceptional ergonomics. The guard interiors we manufacture are the most robust on the market.

This foil is automatically fitted with a 100mm diameter foil guard (ref 510). If you would like a titanium foil guard (ref 512), please follow these steps:

• Order your mounted weapon
• You can also order the titanium guard (ref 512)
• Please specify in the comments section when confirming your order that you would like your weapon fitted with the titanium guard.

Once you have placed your order, you will be refunded for the 100mm diameter foil guard (ref 510).
