Our Maraging BF (Blaise Frères) electric epee is composed of a Maraging BF (Blaise frères) blade, approved by the International Fencing Federation (FIE). Forgées en France, les lames Maraging BF sont incontestablement les meilleures lames au monde.
Maraging steels are renowned for their high strength and hardness, whilst retaining excellent ductility. They have a higher yield strength, allowing them to bend more than standard blades. The blades can therefore, in theory, bend more than others before irreversible deformation of the metal occurs and before they break. But yes, a maraging blade can break. Whilst maraging steel is designed to be hard and strong, it is not indestructible; breakage is generally caused by bending in the opposite direction to the curve or by an incorrectly carried out blade straightening operation.

Our Maraging BF (Blaise Frères) electric epee blade can be fitted, at the customer’s discretion, with either a French or a German tip.
You can customise your Maraging BF (Blaise Frères) electric epee by choosing either a standard rubber grip or an orthopaedic grip.

This epee is automatically fitted with an ultra-lightweight sword guard (ref 537). If you would like a titanium sword guard (ref 538), please follow these steps:

• Order your mounted weapon
• You can also order the titanium guard (ref 538)
• Please specify in the comments section when confirming your order that you would like your weapon fitted with the titanium guard.

Once you have placed your order, you will be refunded for the ultra-light sword guard (ref 537).
